Last weekend, I opened my studio at Dogwood Canyon to the public. Friends and family, hikers and curious locals stopped by. IT was fun to introduce people from diffiencet circles to one another and to the pleasure pf textile arts. The Earth Loom instantly became a colorful focal point. We also set out two table top looms so folks could try their hand at weaving.
My current personal project is to figure out how mount the String Skirt Project for display. I have hung up all of the skirts, hoping some ideas will come to me this week.
The next Studio Hours will be 10am - 2pm both Friday and Saturday, June 13-14th. Parking is a little tight in the early morning because of hikers, but they head home when the day starts to warm up.
Come any time, stay as long as you can. Bring what you are currently working on!
