If you have not come to Our Community Craft Circle , now is the time to try it out!
Last month, we met on Groundhog’s Day with a small but merry band, mostly spinners. Reid brought some information about The Button Guild. She made it sound pretty exciting to look at rare and collectable buttons with like-minded enthusiasts. As I type, I keep looking over at my stack of button boxes and tins, some inherited and full of old memories, thinking “Is that a rabbit hole I need to go down?”

MORE CALENDAR ITEMS TO CONSIDER
MARCH 2ND Opening Reception for Vanessa Meshak at Pencil and Paper Gallery. This show is not to be missed! Vanessa is a quilter and printmaker, her work is deeply rooted in her lived experiences.
MARCH 9TH is the last day to see Soft Bones at the Bath House Cultural Center. It is a beautifully curated show in the new gallery. I am so honored to have work in it!
INTRODUCTION TO HAND WEAVING WORKSHOP, was scheduled for MARCH 3RD, but has been rescheduled for MARCH 24TH. I recently purchased a beautiful classroom set of lap looms and used them for the workshop at the Bath House. They are a treat to use!
INTRODUCTION TO HAND-SPINNING WOOL WORKSHOP will be April 14th. This is a straight forward introduction to using a hand-spindle to make yarn out of wool.
There are a lot of great textile related workshops on the Oil and Cotton calendar: Indigo for Shibori, Osage Orange as a dye, with Delayne Smith-Vaughan or Shashiko with Aaron Sanders-Head. Check it out.
We will be there tonight! Can’t wait.
