It's Almost Time!

My residency at Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center begins soon

I am really looking forward to welcoming folks into my temporary studio at Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center starting Friday June 6th. I am hoping this will be a space where we can all find company and a sense of delight, with like-minded people. The Preserve is beautiful and full of mystery, a perfect place to explore art and nature.

Slow changes

I wrote the first installation of this blog after I snuck my big spinning wheel into the loft at the brand new home for Oil and Cotton in 2021. My goal was to introduce folks to the idea of a community Textiles Studio located in the heart of a big city. I have hosted many workshops, weekly classes and meet-ups in that space over the last four years. I may be taking some of my tools and materials out for a while, nevertheless, it will remain a cozy space for all kinds of art exploration. Check out these fun workshops at Oil and Cotton, coming this summer! So many great choices.

After a spinning workshop, I left my wheel upstairs, claiming the space for Textile Arts. Now the space is full of textile tools and so much more.
