Here are a few photos from the Mercantile. It was fun, and we hope to do it again soon! But, not too soon! We are still recovering from the hullaballoo.
I got to hug a lot of necks on Saturday! And, one of my little cloud tapestries went home with Emily R. who has been teaching weaving and natural dyes to her very young students.
I met some great folks who asked about workshops and classes.
Then, be still my heart, my grandkids decided that weaving was actually fun. They took turns at the loom for over an hour.
Melanie Sanford, of Conserving Threads, brought a comprehensive collection of textile fibers from around the world. She was front and center with her table and her cotton spinning skills.
Not pictured, my fault, is the one and only Victoria Owens who gave up her entire day to spin and talk to people about fibers. She was patient and charming with everyone. She brought a sparkle to the whole day. Or was that just the glitter yarn, angelina, she sprinkled liberally around the studio?
Sounds like a great time was had by all!!
